FSTI Winter Intensive Our Forest School Teacher Certification (FSTI) Winter Intensive is designed for educators and professionals who want an immersive in-person experience with flexible pacing. This format includes two full-day Saturday sessions—January 17 and February 7—with independent assignments and field observations completed on your own time between sessions. Participants will meet in between session days once online for a debrief and presentations.
This schedule allows working professionals to deepen their forest school practice and complete certification requirements with greater balance and flexibility.
In summer, our intensive is 3 consecutive days long, but during the school year, we have our intensive on two set Saturdays, with time in-between to get your observation hours on your own time during the school week between the training dates.
For those who want to deepen their understanding of child development and hone their teaching skills in nature. This course takes place at Free Haven as a 3-day intensive training and results in Forest School Teacher Certification from the Forest School Teacher Institute.
